Fast forward to 2016 where first-person shooters have evolved into an established genre and Duke's 90s attitude is endearingly lame instead of being edgy.Дue to how much the genre has changed in the past 20 years, it's a real trip going back and replaying 'Duke Nukem 3D.' It's a reminder of a simpler time for the genre before killstreaks and drones, where players collected colored key cards and shot pigs in the face. Players could finally look up at the enemies that were shooting them, and it became wildly controversial due to violence, vulgarity and suggestive themes. Yet where Duke's game has always shined was in the single-player experience and that carries over well despite a few odd and very minor glitches in the add-ons. The community has already suffered because of it. Its not game ruining, especially not for the Vita, but it is still a big issue and a disappointment. The trophies associated with this mode have issues. Lag kills the experience both competitively and co-operatively. The multiplayer doesn't fare as well unfortunately. The additions they bring as well as just their inclusion in this package are both well appreciated. Each of their unique themes helps set them apart from the main content. The expansions only add to this by adding humorous twists and new challenges. Old school difficulty, awesome weapons, and an over-the-top sense of humor make for a very fun experience.
